Mark L. Rockefeller is the Co-Founder & CEO of StreetShares, America’s leading financial technology company focused on the military and veteran community. StreetShares was named the 2017 “Innovator of the Year” in Washington, D.C. and Mark and his co-founder won the 2018 Mid-Atlantic Ernst & Young “Entrepreneur of the Year” award.
Mark started his career in the U.S. Air Force. Following 9 years of military service and an academic stint at Columbia University, he joined the Wall Street law firm Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy where he worked to return investor money following the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy, among other matters. He left Milbank in 2013 to co-found StreetShares with former Capital One executive Mickey Konson.
Mark holds a bachelor’s degree in finance, MBA and law degrees; he was a Stone Scholar at Columbia Law School. Mark has been quoted or featured in The Wall Street Journal, CNBC, Forbes, Entrepreneur, Inc., Bloomberg Businessweek, Fox News, MSNBC, Huffington Post, American Banker, and others.
Mark is also a contributor at Forbes, writing on veterans’ issues and entrepreneurship. Mark is the Chairman of the StreetShares Foundation.
